WHAT IS PUC?

Projects with Underserved Communities, or PUC, is a project-based service program at the University of Texas at Austin. Engineering and social work students pair with communities abroad to create practical, helpful, and sustainable engineering solutions for a community challenge. Throughout the school year, students communicate with their in-country NGO Facilitator and community partner to design the project, then travel abroad over the summer to implement it with the community.

Since 2010, PUC teams have partnered with groups in 10 different countries, combining the challenges of community need and student enrichment. Learn more about the program here!
