JENN MCNEILL

Project Manager

Hi y’all! I’m Jenn McNeill, a junior from Milwaukee, Wisconsin double majoring in Environmental Engineering and Spanish here at UT. Coming from Wisconsin, I was drawn to UT because of all of the unique extracurricular opportunities it had to offer. I have been excited about applying to Projects with Underserved Communities since my freshman year, and I feel so lucky to finally be here working with Team México! PUC is the perfect opportunity for me to explore my passions for sustainable engineering and collaboration while improving my communication (in English and Spanish!). This year, I am acting as the liaison between our team at UT and our partners down in Oaxaca. Fostering an authentic and long-lasting relationship with our partners is my top priority. I know that this experience will teach me more than I can imagine, and I cannot wait to see how we all grow.

SHELBY HOBOHM

Assistant Project Manager / Budget

Hola! I’m Shelby Hobohm, a third year from Colleyville and Arlington, Texas double-majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Government. I am currently the Assistant Project Manager for the team. I decided to major in Mechanical Engineering because I saw engineering as a way to use specialized skills to help people all over the world. Projects with Underserved Communities is helping me fulfill my goal of using my technical abilities to work with an international community and improve everyday lives. I am most excited to continue to grow our relationship with the community, and to learn some Spanish to aid in communication. In my free time, I like watching movies, hanging out with my friends, and baking treats! I already love my team so much, and can’t wait to see how much we are able to grow both as engineers and just as humans.

MORGAN SHERRY

Technical Lead

Hi, I’m Morgan Sherry, a senior from Austin, TX studying Mechanical Engineering with a certificate in Humanitarian Engineering. I chose to study engineering because I wanted a way to use my interests and talents to help those around me. Projects with Underserved Communities seemed like a great place to start giving back! I am so excited to use all of the knowledge I’ve gained over the last four years to create something that the community in Oaxaca will use for years to come. I am also very excited to collaborate with the Xuchil team and experience their culture when we travel to Mexico.
